A year ago our family dreamed of visiting Romania ‘s orphans. After months of internet research and phone calls to websites proclaiming they help the Roma (gypsy) orphans, it’s became clear that no one wants to share Jesus with the orphans. “We are a secular organization that help the orphans without bringing faith or religious beliefs into it.” Is all I heard.

There are 8 people from Arden Seventh-day Adventist Church here ages ranging from 8 to 56 years old that plan to visit Romania in July 2015 and bring the hope of Jesus Christ to these orphans. There are thousands of them and only a handful of us, but we are going in the name of Jesus Christ and we will make a difference.

The lucky Roma orphans currently in orphanages are thrown out at the age of 16. At which point they have to fend for themselves. They have no resources and thus become homeless overnight. Some of them live in underground tunnels, because they have no place to go. Our goal is to reach them before they are released from the orphanage. We need to help them when they need it most and reach out to them when no one else does.

Help us get to Romania and contact two organizations willing to work with us, so that when these orphans are released into society, they will have a family to stay with. Help us get there and connect them with the right resources. There are people willing to take these teens in and teach them a trade, a profession they can learn, so they can become self reliant. We can’t do it without you and your help. We need to bring the love of Jesus to these orphans. If Jesus was Willing to die for only one person, surely we can realize how precious these young souls are to our Lord.
