Every day at FLAG Camp is packed with fun, learning, and community! A typical day includes:
Camp Council — group singing, stories, prayer, and life lessons to start the day strong.
Class Rotations — campers rotate through Bible, cooking, crafts, science, Spanish, music, nature, games, life skills, and more.
Afternoon Activities — swimming, bowling, field trips, and special adventures.
Tribe Time — small group bonding with dedicated counselors.
Camp Store — campers earn “FLAG Shillings” for good behavior and can spend them on prizes throughout the summer.
-
Yes! Field trips are planned throughout the summer, including swimming days and other special outings. Some trips may require a small additional fee — parents will always be notified in advance. On field trip days, campers wear their FLAG Camp T-shirt.
-
Campers bring a packed lunch each day (please no items that need to be heated). Every Tuesday is Pizza Day — $6 gets your camper two slices of pizza, carrot sticks, and a drink. Extra slices are $1 each. Pizza orders and payment are due Tuesday morning or the day before.
-
Please send your camper with the following each day:
• A packed lunch (labeled with their name)
• Swimsuit (one-piece preferred; if two-piece, a dark T-shirt must be worn over it)
• Towel
• Life jacket (if your camper isn’t a strong swimmer)
• Closed-toe shoes (sneakers are encouraged)
• A change of clothes (just in case!)
• An afternoon snack
-
To keep the focus on camp fun, please leave the following at home:
• Cell phones, tablets, and gaming devices
• Personal toys
• Knives, weapons, or anything that could be used as one
• Gum
• Heelys (shoes with wheels)
Items brought in violation of these guidelines will be confiscated and returned to the parent at pickup.
-
Absolutely — the safety of your child is our top priority. All staff members go through a careful screening process that includes applications, reference letters, and formal interviews. Background checks (criminal history, SSN trace, and sex offender registry) are conducted on all staff 18 and older.
Every camper is assigned to a tribe with dedicated counselors, and attendance is tracked through regular line calls throughout the day. A camper is never left unattended.
-
Yes! We have an open-door policy — parents are welcome to visit anytime during camp hours. We’re also using the ProCare app this year, which will allow us to keep families updated and connected throughout the day.
-
Every camper must be signed in at drop-off and signed out at pick-up. Parents complete a Drop-Off/Pick-Up Authorization Form listing all individuals who are permitted to pick up their child. Anyone picking up a camper will need to show a valid driver’s license until staff members are able to recognize them by sight.
-
All medications must be sent in their original containers along with a completed Medical Release Form. Medications are stored and administered by our administrative staff, and a medication log is kept for every camper who requires it.
